We are excited to announce that The Rock of Rocklin has moved into a new facility on Granite Drive in Rocklin. Along with the move we have also changed the name of the church to Mosaic Christian Church ( www.mosaiccc.com).
A Brief History:
In April of 2003, The Rock of Rocklin was birthed from The Rock of Roseville, out of a vision to plant many churches on every street corner in
the Sacramento region. Over the past five years, this vision has been
adapted with a focus to have one central church (The Rock of Roseville) and
to have several off-campus "video venues." At that juncture, The Rock of
Rocklin became an independent church. And, although we remain connected to
The Rock of Roseville relationally, God brought about the need to
redefine our unique identity in Him.
During this season, we sensed that God wanted to rename us, much in the way
He renamed Abram to Abraham and Jacob to Israel. In each instance where God renamed someone in the Bible, it identified a change in season, calling, and identity. Additionally, we wanted to honor The Rock of Roseville by allowing them sole usership of the name "The Rock" so that it was synonymously linked to the main Roseville campus.
Through much prayer, we have changed the name of
the church from The Rock of Rocklin to Mosaic Christian Church - a name that characterizes who we are as a church. A mosaic is
the marvelous work of a skilled craftsman who takes broken tiles and pottery (that would ordinarily be discarded) and fits
them together to create something of great beauty. A mosaic is a picture of
God's church where He takes broken and imperfect people and brings them
together in community to create His church.
